Lip Filler

What is Lip Filler?

Lip filler is a treatment designed to enhance and rejuvenate the lips by adding volume, definition, and hydration. This treatment uses dermal fillers made of hyaluronic acid (HA), a naturally occurring substance in the body responsible for keeping skin hydrated and plump.

We prioritise achieving natural, balanced results tailored to your facial anatomy and aesthetic preferences.

How Does Lip Filler Work?

The treatment involves the injection of HA-based dermal fillers into targeted areas of the lips. A numbing cream containing lidocaine is applied before the procedure to minimise discomfort, and the filler is then carefully injected to enhance shape, volume, or bot

For first-time clients, it may take more than one session to see a significant volume increase due to natural space within the lips that needs to be filled first.

What to Expect:

  • Procedure Time: 30–45 minutes.
  • Results: Initial results are visible immediately, but true results appear after 7–14 days when swelling subsides.
  • Downtime: Minimal; swelling and bruising may last up to 2 weeks.
  • Duration of Results: Typically lasts 6–12 months, with some clients reporting results lasting up to 24 months depending on lifestyle and individual factors.

Key Benefits of Lip Filler:

  • Erases fine lines around the mouth (smoker’s lines).
  • Enhances thin lips for a fuller appearance.
  • Creates definition for the Cupid’s bow and lip border.
  • Adds natural, long-lasting volume and hydration.
  • Provides tailored results to meet individual aesthetic goals.

Treatment Areas:

  • Lips: Volume, definition, and symmetry can be enhanced.
  • Surrounding Areas: Treatments such as a Botox lip flip or gummy smile correction can be performed 2 weeks prior for enhanced results, if needed. This will be discussed in your consultation.

Pre-Treatment Advice:

  • Avoid blood-thinning medications (e.g., aspirin, ibuprofen) for 7 days before treatment.
  • Refrain from alcohol for 24 hours before and after your appointment.
  • Discontinue topical products like tretinoin, retinols, and glycolic acid 3 days before treatment.
  • Inform the clinic of any illnesses, skin infections, or upcoming facial or dental procedures.
  • Take arnica tablets 3 days before treatment to reduce bruising risk.
  • Ensure you have eaten before your appointment to avoid light-headedness.

Aftercare Instructions:

  • Avoid touching or applying makeup to the treated area for at least 24 hours.
  • Refrain from high-intensity exercise, saunas, and steam rooms for 1 week.
  • Avoid sun exposure and apply SPF 30/50 to the treated area.
  • Avoid alcohol and blood-thinning medications for 24 hours post-treatment.
  • Use arnica gel, a cold compress, or a non-drowsy antihistamine to reduce swelling and bruising.
  • Wait 2 weeks before undergoing laser treatments or skin needling.

Lip filler is a minimally invasive, versatile treatment that enhances the lips by adding volume, definition, and hydration. Using hyaluronic acid-based dermal fillers, this procedure delivers natural and long-lasting results tailored to your aesthetic goals. While initial results are visible immediately, true results emerge after swelling subsides within 7–14 days. With minimal downtime and effects lasting 6–12 months or longer, this treatment is a safe and effective way to achieve fuller, more defined lips.
